As Nice as You Are, You Are Always an Ass to Someone

forgiveness  If you’re like me you’ve spent a reasonable portion deal of your adult life around people who are angry or disappointed with you.

You’re always going to be an ass to someone.  You’re human.  You can’t avoid it.

It’s like George Carlin’s famous axiom: every other car on the road is either a maniac driving too fast or an idiot driving too slow.

In that same vein, no matter how hard you try to be positive and nice, someone, somewhere, is always going to find you unpleasant or, at least, off-putting in some way.

And that’s not even taking into account times when you really were an ass by anyone’s standards (including your own). Continue reading

Why Being Hungry Can Make You a Poor Conscious Creator

hungry  You’ve decided that you’re no longer okay with not having some of your greatest desires.

How to Be a Victim and Suffer Greatly Every Day

Victim  I know how to be a victim.  I played one for many years.

The formula is simple:

  1. Believe that life happens “to” you
  2. Believe that you have no control or influence over your life’s circumstances
  3. Believe that someone, or something, outside yourself is responsible for your circumstances and your happiness
  4. Try to figure out how to please that someone, or something, enough so that someone, or something, will give you what you desire to be happy
